Can one cat be allergic to another?

Helo, all,



My resident cat Luna is now getting closer to my new cat Rame even though they do not have any physical contact with each other since the first bad encounters a week ago. They are playing with some of the same toys and blankets as I get them used to each to each other's scents. Could it be possible that Luna is allergic to Rame? Luna's eyes are all red and they were runny a little afew days ago. Maybe she caught a cold from him? (He has been checked out and did not have "pet shelter" respiratory disease when he went to the vet's one week after I got him and has been healthy since.) Luna is all white and her skin is very sensitive and she reacts to many things. Nothing is new in the house except Rame. He uses the same catlitter and food. Any insights here?
