Getting 2 kittens in a few weeks. What do I need to prepair for?

Hi all
We are getting 2 sister kittens in a few weeks and I was wondering a few things. 1. How do you litter box train? 2. We will be getting the little ladies on a weekend so they can get used to us and our 1 bedroom apartment. When we leave for work on Monday should we leave both in the bathroom so they don't roam the apartment? Any other thing I need to know that I haven't thought of yet???
