Monday nite I took in a feral kitten who had been outside screaming all day. At first he was aggressive but then became a purring love kittie. I took him to the vet who diagnosed him with fleas...she told me to bathe him and use a flea comb. He is 5-6 weeks old. My other 4 cats ,although isolated from him, were treated with frontline. He tested negative for the leukemia test. The vet ( I am trying a more local vet) said he should be retested at 16 weeks and should remain isolated until then. I was also told to watch for signs of rabies. He currently stays in a large carrier and has been eating well, gets a C grade for attempting litter habits (I put a small plastic container with litter in his carrier condo). Also he was dewormed although his stool was negative. I have forgotten about kitten care and wonder if anyone knows of a good kitten care web site.
