I probably should let Kitkat answer this, but I don't think you'll have a problem.

Cat spays aren't nearly the big deal that dog (especially large dog) spays are. Kittens are pretty resilient and recover fairly quickly. If your vet is using gas anesthetics they will probably not be too groggy. They may not be ready to climb and jump too much the day after surgery. See what your vet recommends but if they're staying overnight, the restrictions should be relatively minor.
