I agree with Abymom's comments 100%. You will probably be surprised at how well your little girl will do.

It probably will not be necessary to separate the kittens after they have surgery. If they seem especially active, and you are nervous about it, one night of the confinement for the girl will be enough. Unless she is in heat, her incision should be very small.

One thing that you will probably notice in your spayed kitten is a soft lump at the incision site. This is normal, and is a pocket of serum that forms under the skin and is common in very active cats. Occasionally, they may get big enough to have drained, but usually they subside on their own. If you gently touch one of these lumps, you can easily feel that it is fluid-filled.
