My Kleo always ate fancy feast wet and science diet dry. She was on the bigger side, but she also had a lot of snacks and people food

Currently, Rigby and Isabella are on a strict diet of just Iams now. My vet SWEARS by it, so, that's what we're sticking to. I've done a lot of reading online in the past, and kittykind.org is a good reference site for food recommendations, and types of litter, etc. I've read that science diet is not the best. Iams is acceptable. We used to do wellness, but had some bathroom issues - and think it is possible it was just too rich for them. so back to the Iams. The vet on the holistic vet site on here adamantly opposes any dry food...he seems to believe it causes many health issues and weight gain.

although, that is what the kitties prefer. so i compromised - they get wet food 2x a day, and i sprinkle dry food on top. that does the trick. and then they get a dry food snack-time before bedtime. Rigby hates the hairball formula, but i still mix it in with the original dry food.

so far, so good. no bathroom issues, no weight issues, everyone is pretty and energetic and shiny with no dandruff. so, we're all happy
