In addition to my 3 tonks I have 2 greyhounds...Trysta, my female, has a very persistant streak about her, especially in the morning when she decides it's time for breakfast.

Normally she will get up and start snooting my, I'll tell her to go lay down, she'll go, then about 10 minutes later, another snoot, another yell from me, she lays down, 10 minutes later...and so on...she is a canine snooze alarm and this will continue until I just give in, usually on the third try.

Well, the past few days I have noticed something very funny... after the first snoot attempt, Finster will come over and position himself between me and her and just sit there staring at Trysta who will immediately go lay down...10 minutes later the second snoot session...and Alastair comes over to join Finster both just sitting and staring and she goes and lays down again...no words from me...just the two of them standing guard...

By the third time, I'm up anyway and we all go down to get breakfast with a little extra for my two big and brave working boys!!!!
