Do you have a screened porch? When we first moved down south Bentley picked them up from the porch...once I got him on flea control problem solved...

another possibility...

you could have brought one in or if you have had anyone over who has pets who might have fleas stowing away in a sock or shoe...they'd jump of the humans who don't have the desireable fur and crawl around the rug until they found one of your fuzzballs, I read somewhere they sense the vibration in the floor and migrate toward the animals...pretty sneaky little buggers.

I'm glad you were able to get it all under control...fleas suck!
