Posted by: 2dzzz at Tue Sep 2 08:04:10 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by 2dzzz ] We are cautiously optimistic about Dominique today. She spent the night at the emergency vet, and each time we called, we were told she was "the same" and still in the oxygen tent. This morning when we called at 6 am we got the same report, and were having some grave thoughts. When my husband picked her up, though, the vet said she did really well coming off of the oxygen & her breathing was normal. She needed to go to her regular vet today to be monitored. Her vet said she should be ok, with her cardiac meds that she will need to take every day. The vet said that Dominique must have done a great job compensating for her heart's difficulties, as the vet was surprised when my DH told her that Dominique had played with us when we were making the bed yesterday morning & was fine! She said it was unusual for this to come on so fast. Dominique is there at the vet now, & I will hopefully pick her up later in the day to come home. She will need to go back on Friday to see how she is responding to the meds. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
