My first Tonk was Liat. It comes from the musical"South Pacific" She was the native girl the American fell in love with was was described as Tonkinese. It came to me out of the blue and just sounded right. Just exotic enough to be interesting without being considered goofy.
Dulcinea stays in the Broadway theme, coming from "Man of La Mancha" Again a little exotic without being overly strange. She immediately became Dulcie. Except when she gets in trouble, then the full name comes out. ----- Terry, confused human companion of Dulcinea.
