Tough one...I know...

Sadly the last time I cried was on Sunday, December 3. The day before I had gotten the message that I was to be booted from the chorus of Pirates of Penzance because I was too old-looking to be one of Major General Stanley's daughters. My first two loves are - singing in the opera chorus and Gilbert and Sullivan so it was a double blow, not to mention the hurt feelings engendered by the "too old" judgement.

Anyhow, I was still weeping over this and a male friend who knew about the rejections came up to me at church, hugged me and said, "You are still the best looking-woman here". I lost it.

So...do I look too old to to you? Stage make up does work wonders...
