He might surprise you Madame A!

When my father retired 20 years ago he was totally helpless when it came to running the house. (Mom still worked fulltime) It only took a few months for him to become a tyrant with a mop in one hand and a dish towel over the shoulder. He was the best housewife ever in his mind.

My Mom never raises her voice, but she did eventually go into a screaming fit one day about his overbearing ways. He straighted up. She has been disabled for 15 years now. The care he gives her is fantastic. The house is neat as a pin. And they laugh more than any time in their marriage (my brother and I are actually a little resentful about it - they are having that good of a time. Why didn't they laugh like this when they were raising us?)

We'll hope for the best - after a little foot dragging, he might be just fine taking over the house.
