Luckily my neighborhood has underground power lines because many trees are breaking due to the heavy ice coating all of the trees. The river birch branches in my front yard is suffering from a heavy coat of ice and I fear that it's a goner. My neighbor's large birch is falling on my blue spruce in the front yard. Her house is unoccupied as her house is up for sale and she's living elsewhere. Her large tree in the backyard is breaking and falling on the privacy fence, damaging the fence. In the backyard, my blue spruces and the gorgeous magnolia tree which was in full bud, seems to be doing OK, but probably won't bloom this year.
