>>I'm afraid I can be a terrible snob. The thing I am most unforgiving about is people who bring small children into non-kid-friendly places. I've had SO many dinners at nice restaurants ruined by out-of-control children. Sorry, but if you are going to have tiny ones either get a babysitter or forgo adult venues for about ten years until they learn to behave. It's not fair to your kids and it's not fair to the others around you.

That sounds like poor parenting to me. I have seen four and five year olds that are very well behaved in a nic restraunt. And I have seen terrible ten yr olds. I agree they need to be monitored. A couple of weeks ago, when I was upstairs in the lounge at the mt. I ski at there was a group of 10 to 13/14 yr olds. I have no idea where their parents where. They were being noisy and disrepectful. I turned around and spoke to them in my teacher voice. They all quieted right down. My brother and our friend both laughed.
