Ditto on the badly behaved kids! A few years ago I had dinner with a friend and her then 3 y.o. We were asked to leave. I was so embarrassed! She whined that people don't understand what it takes to raise kids. I won't met her in public anymore.
And what's with people bringing super grubby, dirty, snot nosed kids out? When I dated a man with twin boys I always had diaper wipes and clean shirts in the car for them. Takes two seconds...
I've been called a snob for refusing to follow the crowd before. There are no designer or athletic labels on my clothes. I won't buy products once they become associated with 'branding' a group or sub culture. And the moment some says, "you have to...(join, wear, display, partake) to be part of the crowd, I'm gone.
I'm also a food snob. There is more to life, even on a strict budget, then velveeta (which I bought for the first time just two weeks ago to make a requested recipe at Punky's birthday party) and cheap bologna. People who can't taste the difference between say, Godiva, and the waxy psudeo chocolate used to make Easter bunnies baffle me. Cheap bologna is for when you want to relive happy childhood memories, not a backbone of a diet!
