I've heard that cats don't like citrus and if you scatter orange peels or lemon peels around a garden it can also help keep out unwanted felines.

And then there is alwasy dried coyote urine. I kid you not..go to google.com and type in quotes "dried coyote urine" and you will get a host of products that may help with this problem.
