I love Iowa and go back often, but rather than saying there isn't anything to do on the East Coast, why not be honest and say, "We'd rather go to Vegas than visit you." That's when I threw back that I didn't go to Iowa as it was the mecca of civilization...trying to drive the point home I went to see THEM.
