I quickly got seduced by department store ads and fell in love with T-Fal in the early 90s and saved my pennies for a nice green enamel set during a big sale... Followed all the "don't use metal utensils rules" and took good care of them, but within a couple months, the Teflon started coming off and I had "pepper" on my eggs. Used a mis-matched set until I broke down about 5 years ago and bought a Stainless Steel set of Wolfgang Puck pots and pans that have worked well.
