Over the years, I've tried many different kinds of cookware: Mirro, Reverware, TFal, Circulon, Cooks....you name it. But about 15 years ago, I started buying Calphalon hard-anodized aluminum exterior, nonstick interior and love it! It seems to last forever. I have replaced the chicken fryer and saute pan a couple of times but feel that I'm getting my money's worth out of this set of pans. It cooks and looks as new as the day I bought it. Rather than store them inside of the cupboard where they are stacked on top of each other, I have a pot rack that they hang from, preventing scratching.
Although the initial cost does seem a little pricey, it's well-worth it due to the longevity of the set. If you want, you can purchase them a piece at a time instead of the whole set all at once.
