Then there was the year I wrapped EVERY gift under the tree for her, my own included.

====

My neighbor (turned 70 this year) always buys an obscene amount of gifts for her Daughter and Granddaughter and a couple to make it look like she likes her Son-in-law, LOL. Anyway, she hand ties bows on each and every gift. It took her hours to do all this. About 6 years ago, I stopped over when she was doing this and helped her out some. Now, for the last 5 years, she invites me over for some snacks and snookers me into wrapping for her. I've wrapped ALL of her gifts for the past 5 years while she slowly ties hand tied bows on all of them. Took 4 hours for me to wrap the gifts for the Daughter and Granddaugher (with a couple minutes added in for the Son-in-law) yesterday. She hand tied bows on all of them, pretty much keeping pace. The irony is, her family doesn't care. They put stick on bows on their gifts, if they rememeber bows. But, if I hadn't helped her, it would have taken her 8 hours... Sigh... I hate wrapping gifts, too... I just feel so bad for her every year when it is a day or two out and she has hours of wrapping and bow tying in front of her...
