I don't drink it, personally, except on airplanes if that's the only possibility. Consider it one of the all-time great cons foisted on the public.
In addition to being a huge waste of resources and a gigantic industry (read money-maker for the companies who don't care about anything but their bottom line), there are no controls on it. According to what I've heard on NPR and other places, the water can come from anywhere. Sometimes, it's even tap water from that area, just put into plastic bottles and then sold.
Although I know people in certain states/areas need to use it since their tap water is actually only fit for bathing, and the military need it in parts of the world, most of it's sold to people who think they're getting something special.
