We pretty much take it in stride as a lot of it has to do with the time and place of the events. For example Tarrant County in Texas is named after my father's family. But the name came about from the Tarrants spending so much time in jail that they called it the Tarrant jail and from there came Tarrant County. We laugh about it simply because back in those days, things were much different. I guess it depends upon your perspective of things as to what you might or might not want someone to know.
