I'd suggest always checking Ross or TJ Maxx, just to see what they have. However, the best bet might be a western wear atore.
(Or sometimes even a farm/ranch store carries jeans.) Go where the cowboys do! Here, there are lots around but don't know about where you live. I saw a brand in Shepler's the other day called Aura. Didn't have time to try any on (and didn't need any more jeans) but they come in several styles and three different rises so should fit most bodies. They were about $36.
I'll have to try them sometime since wouldn't mind a good fitting pair of blue denims. Have been wearing black or white jeans for the past few years so only have one pair of blues.
