Pookey will enjoy hearing all the well wishes from you guys when he wakes from his 23.5 hour a day nap and I let him know!

He's actually still pretty active. He gets most of his sleep during the day while I work and is pretty annoyed on the days I am off -- he trys to nap and also keep an eye on me at the same time. What's a kitty to do?

The only bad thing about the aversion to the stairs and wanting my help is in the middle of the night. Somewhere between 3 and 5 AM, he jumps down to take care of some business. He then wakes me up to lift him back up. I tried the old "just wait him out, he will get tired"...nope. He meowed for 30 minutes solid one night. Made himself horse, got a drink of water, and came back and started meowing again. Now, I just get up, lift him up, and go back to sleep. What's that you say? Shut him out of the bedroom. Never. He positions his mouth just right in the door jam and can project his meow throughout the house and NEVER gets tired of meowing.

So, we do it his way and that way I sleep.
