Is it almost October already? I can't believe the holidays are fast approaching...

I picked up some apple butter the other day from a stand and made gingerbread last weekend. Enjoying the tastes of fall already...

I'm going back to college to get my Bachelor's Degree. I have an Associate's from age 20, took a 23 year break, and now hitting the books again. This has been my year of math. I started out in January with third level Algebra and recently finished the fourth and final level Algebra (College Algebra). It was a lot of work. I am not in Statistics, which is supposed to be the worst class of the degree. Thought I'd finish all the ugly math at once. I will be about halfway done with the degree when I finish Stats in December. Doing it one class at a time as I work full-time w/overtime... I spend HOURS on the weekend on homework and wonder what was I thinking. (Actually, I am doing this to help when I retire, around here, you can make $100 a day as a substitute teacher with a Bachelor's Degree...)

Pookey is doing well. In Feburary, the vet predicted he probably had until August before serious complications from his nasal polyp/tumor kicked in... Well, it is September and pretty much so far so good. He is occasionally snuffly and sneezy, but the steroids seem to be holding everything at bay for now. He's pretty much normal, just slowing down now that he is 19...

That's about it.
