Posted by: kmaire at Tue Jun 24 22:01:27 2003 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by kmaire ] Every day for the past four months I have a cat that magically appears on my deck. I have been feeding her since the first day that I saw her but she is very scared of people. The first time that I went out to feed her she immediately ran from me. In the past month or so she has gotten to where she will stay within about three feet of me as long as she thinks she is hidden. She has had one litter of kittens in our yard under the wheelbarrow but she moved them before I could take them in. My question is, do they ever get over their fear of people? She is such a beautiful cat and I feel sorry for her. I also need to know if there is any agency that can help me get her spayed. The animal shelter here is overrun with strays and I don't want her to be put down. She seems very healthy since I've been feeding her but I definitely don't want her to continue having kittens in the yard. Any ideas on how to help her?
