My husband and I live in an apartment complex where feral cats are almost equal in number to people. We rescued one - she found us and desperately wanted to become an indoor cat - and her kittens. There are so many though and with the weather so cold now (in NJ) it brakes our hearts to see their little paw tracks through mountains of snow. Some of them are pregnant and will surely loose the litter if they give birth in this weather. What can we do? We thought about trapping them and bringing them to shelters but we don't know of any no-kill shelters and we are unsure of the best way to trap them. We put food out and at least four are regulars now on our back porch. Any advice would be appreciated. I wish we could take them all in, but it's just not practical.
