I wouldn't consider them a middle man really. What I liked about the site was I searched for the breed,sex,age of the kitty I was interested in and becuase you put you're zip code they put you in touch with folks in you're area. My new kitten Lucy was in a foster home and never spent time in a shelter or store cage. I just knew when I say her picture on the internet she was for our home.
