Cat in IL, near Chicago needs a new home ASAP!

I have a male cat about 8 years old that is neutered and needs a home. We cannot have pets in our new home so he needs a new one ASAP! He loves nothing more than to sit on your lap and do absolutely nothing but have you pet him. I have never seen such a loving cat and just cannot bare taking him to a shelter of any kind.
