How wonderful that you have found a cat rescue to work with! It takes very special people indeed, to provide temporary love for those enroute to their forever homes.

I work in a low-kill (so to speak) shelter, and while there is a ton of stress some days and heartbreak others, the overall feeling is most definetly a warm and fuzzy one, because in the end it is making a hugs difference for the animals in our care.

I am glad Cookie is doing better, abcesses are sneaky messy things, but are usually easily treated fortunately. Glad to hear she is gaining weight, and that the vet is offering her good care. GLOW and positive thoughts to you and the rescue group and kits.
