It is hard to tell what is going on with your cat, or why your vet gave him what he did.. Does he have an embolism, arthritis, poor circulation, what? In general, some supplements that are useful for older patients are CoQ10, DHEA, alpha lipoic acid, choline, and ginkgo extract. You might ask your vet about these.
