Our vet said it would probably come back. I'm starting to see small lumps where the incision was. I bought a book called "Cancer and your Pet" by Debra Eldredge, DVM and Margaret H. Bonham. There is a chapter on holistic medicine where they talk about a cat named Chani who had surgery to remove a hemangiosarcoma tumor. After the surgery the cat was given 1 cc each of Pau d'arco and a red clover blend both manufactured by Nature's Sunshine. Chani was given this medication for 6 months with no recurrence of the cancer. Would it be safe to use these two medications on my cat Molasses? If the tumor has started to come back would it do any good? Our vet has recommended amputation of the leg to control the cancer. I'm not totally opposed to amputation but I wanted to look into these holistic medications first. There are no vet oncologists in my area and our vet said there was no place where we could get radiation treatments for him. Even if another tumor grows back would it be wise to have this one removed and use the herbal medications rather than have the amputation done? Thank you for any advise you can give me.
