Have a very small kitten weighs maybe one pound. It was playful and happy when put into it's kennel for the night. In the morning the kitten staggered out of the cage. Took the kitten to the vet and he was unable to diagnose anything because they are not set up to deal with small animals. We are in a rural area and this is the only vet in the area. The vet injected dextrose in the kittens tummy and sent her home with me for observation. She has developed seizures and I would like to try intervention if possible instead of putting the kitten to sleep. I have heard that magnesium will stop seizures but at what rate do I give it or is there something better? The vet prescribed antibiotics at my request when the kitten started getting seizures in case it was bacterial related. Her milk intake is very poor as I have to give it with a syringe between seizures and sleep. I do not want to give up on this little kitten. This has been going on for a few days now.
