When I got home from work yesterday, it had spread to the top of his head so now it's all along one side of his neck and then goes up on top of his head. It's clumps of fur about the size of a silver dollar just coming off of him, a clump at a time. I took him into the vet yesterday afternoon. The vet said that he's never seen anything like it and took Simba in the backroom and scrapped his skin in a couple of places where the fur was gone. Vet said that it's not ringworm or anything like that but that he noticed in one of the scraps something about white cells, so is treating him for EOSINOPHILIC DERMATITIS and gave him a steroid shot. He said to give it about a month and see if it improves. If no improvement after the month, he said that it could possibly be Demodex Mites and he'll treat him for that.

I'd like to hear your thoughts about this. Thanks.
