a month ago my cat was not eating . the vet and they put her on zeniquin because they found bacteria during a urinalysis. urine also had "low gravity" and whitish substance. over the month she has benn tested for feline leukemia which was negative. xray showed stomach expanded , vet thought possibly filled with acid. recommended 1/4 tablet of pepcid ac. kidneys and blood work nothing too out of the ordinary. glucose slightly elevated. retested for bacteria after a month small amount of bacteria present. continuing with zeniquin. have been administering vitamin c, seems to help rear legs not wobble(kidneys?). administering d-mannose as of yesterday 1/8 teaspoon. i will try to spread out dose over the day as you have recommended to others using d mannose.slowly seems to be improving, still syringe feeding, will eat small amounts on own. she's been drinking alot of water and peeing more than usual during this past month.
it's been along hard month of syringe feeding. vet wants to do ultrasound. i'm worn out as i'm sure my cat is. any recommendations, possible diagnosis other than just a bacterial infection?
