Thank you for your reply. You are correct. It was an UTI, which I did not suspect,at first,because there was blood but no urine, and no straining.
I did not have,at hand,your recommendations,and,because it was Sunday(stores closed)I tried cranberry capsules and juice and Uva Ursi (mixed with a little pureed cat food for palatability). I kept the bladder flushing by giving it every four hours( through the night,everytime I was sure she had urinated 90 percent of what I gave her)and, in 12 hours the urine was running clear.
Thank you, again, for your reply, Dr. Tobin. I will certainly keep your recommendation on hand.
