The enema removed some of the impacted stool but not all of it. The lactulose should help keep the stool softer so that it will move through the intestines faster. Once your cat is having normal stools, put him on a meat and bone diet, along with cod liver oil and a probiotic daily. If he doesn't have a stool in another 24 hours, I usually give a capsule of cascara sagrada mixed with food to stimulate the intestines.
