Posted by: prisscot at Mon Jan 26 10:04:41 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by prisscot ] My cat is 18 yrs old. He has developed a skin disorder and has lost lots of hair. I've taken him to my vet twice on this. My vet tells me he does not have any mites or parasites. He bathed him in some solution which took off the crusty patches, and he has also given him some type of a cortisone injection. Both have not worked. I use Revolution per recommendation of vet. My vet said to bring him back in for another bath if the crustiness comes back. Needless to say, it's very stressful for the cat to go to the vet, much less a bath. The crustiness only appears where he is losing hair and it is not all over. Mainly on his shoulder area, down one side and under his chin. Base of tail is fine. does anyone have any ideas?
