First check to see that no other animals are bringing fleas into the house, such as mice or rats. I generally use Frontline plus, one application, with a second up to 3 months later, if needed. I use it only to get rid of fleas, not to prevent fleas. In addition, spread borax lightly on carpets, rugs, and furniture to kill the larvae.This works pretty rapidly. Program makes the eggs infertile, so new fleas will not develop, but you will be waiting until the fleas die of old age.
