male cats with worms???

I suspect my 7 yr. male cat to have worms (long, white, over 2" but see nothing in the stools. This morning he was bleeding from one nostril. I found a bunch of worms this morning mixed in with some white fluids, but didn't see which cat did it. I suspect this male because of the nose bleed. Can a vet do something without a stool sample?
