I also just found out that her BUN levels were VERY elevated at the time she was spayed and I was never made aware of it by that vet. Could I have possibly slowed down the progression of CRF with diet and supportive care had I known and treated her back when she was 6 mos old when she was spayed? I feel I was robbed of the opportunity to treat her before she got to the stage she is in now where I have to consider a kidney transplant or lose her.
