If, in addition to the loose stool, your cat has gas, stomach rumbling, and very smelly stool, the cause may be small bowel bacterial overgrowth. You could try probiotics at each meal. If you have been using Fortiflora for some time without improvement, switch to another type. You may first need to give Tylan at each meal for 3-4 days before using the probiotic. I would also stop all commercial cat food and feed only cooked chicken until this is corrected. Once the stool is normal again, we can modify the diet for longterm use.
