So, I know we talked previously in a couple threads ago about my cats weight loss (Thread below- "Too Thin!" to refresh your memory) My cat lost more weight, so after blood work, and x-rays, and everything was normal, I gave in and switched her back to Purina Cat Chow. As predicted, within a month I weighed her and she had gained a pound back and had muscle mass around her spine, instead of me being able to feel her spine when I touched her. She ate the same amount, yet she was losing weight on the Wellness Brand. I understand that you've mentioned cats should not be on a dry diet, and I plan on switching her to canned, but Im confused as to why she would gain weight back on the Purina (Indoor cat chow) but lose so much weight on the Wellness Brand? My vets response was "Some cats just don't do good on certain foods".

Whats your answer as to why she would lose weight on Wellness, but not Purina?
