Re the vet not wanting to test the fluid he extracted from around the lungs, as I said, he said, why bother testing it because there's no test for FIP and it could be that. But couldn't it also be other things too. and by not testing it prevents it from being determined whether those other things might be the cause?
Another thing, my cat is still very wheezy and croupy. Breathing is at a regular rate though. No coughing. Is there anything that could be tried other than what was suggested?I can't give him any supplements because he hasn't eaten in a couple of days and it seems to irritate the stomach.
Would his background of being a bit croupy as a kitten and through adulthood, when exacerbated by sleeping on a cold wet pillow, cause some type of chest infection that could result in fluid build-up and yellow mucus?
Thank you for any info you could offer.
