Our orange tabby, who is a little more than a year old, took it upon herself to pull out 2 claws on one back paw and 1 claw on her other back paw. I have been spraying her paws to prevent infection and am using a recycled newspaper litter instead of clay. I check her back paws a few times a day for signs of infection and so far she seems to be doing well. My big concern at the moment is that since this has occurred, she has decided that she no longer cares for our black tabby, who is around the same age. She growls, hisses and spits at our black tabby. During the day, they're fine, it's only at bedtime when the aggressive behavior comes out. I feel terrible for our black tabby, she's smaller than our orange kitty & shy as it is. I'm hoping that once our orange tabby's paws are completely healed that maybe she'll feel better towards the other cat. Anyone ever experience this with their cats?
