So while we are still in the middle of the season. I did breed an exanthic male to a black&white female, with a real narrow belly pattern. Eggs cooking and more to come. The female was found as a tiny hatchling, in the exact spot as a male hatchling axanthic, was found the day before. That will be interesting.
I also breed that yellow female to a yellow male(got me) eggs cooking. She is also on her second clutch. And I did something stupid, I bred her to a axanthic male. Which after I did it, thought, hmmmmmmmmm I how they look different or I will not know which male sired the clutch. Oh well.
An axanthic to axanthic is gravid as well.
Still doing field work, with interesting results. Funny, the first hog of the year was a DOR, axanthic adult female. hahahahahahahahha right in the middle of a town. How funny is that? I just started seeing post partum females. Cheers
