Hello! Over last winter I took in a ribbon snake (previous owner stated that if I didn't take him he was going "out" - winter in MI). He's doing fine, grown a lot. Now I'd like to look for a new home for him, as although he's different and cool (loves fishing for his dinner), I just need the space. But I don't know if you can have ribbon snakes in MI without a license and can't get a response from DNR. I don't know if it's a northern or western, whether it was originally wild-caught or captive-bred, but just want to do what's best for the snake here. I feel there's probably folks that would love to have him, but I want to be sure I don't get myself or others in trouble. Anyone here know? Thanks in advance for advice!
