There is no, one way or the other. If you have a hot cage, then yes, your going to need to cool them. If you have a cage with a range of temps and they can choose a cooler area, and go to heat when they want, no you will not need to brumate them. Or if you balance it just right, you may not need to cool them. Generally speaking, most reptiles need cool temps to conserve energy. So they reproduce in the season where they have the ability to reach cool temps and warm temps.
