Welcome back, Chris! Good to see an old-timer user coming back to us!

Regarding taxonomy, I'm not as familiar with the less-kept ssp, but my view on taxonomy in general is to take it with a grain of salt. Every so often someone comes along and rewrites the ruleset, and years later someone will do it again...quite possibly completely reversing the last decision. So keep what you like, and maintain those bloodlines separately -- especially for the ssp that are rarer in captivity. For example, I've urged anyone keeping Peruvians to maintain them as a separate locality, just in case the decision is later reversed.

Maybe Jeff Clark will see this and weigh in, as he is much more familiar with the less known ssp.

I hope this tiny bit helps, and good luck!
