Hey I've always had my kingsnakes on undertank heaters, then saw a snake where the UTH failed and it burned it. Since then over heat bulbs. Now I have a rather fragile young king that has contracted an RI while on this system ( found out that while the top of the hide on the warm side registered 90f, the floor itself was only 83f). I have a thermostat on my ball python rack that keeps them at 92f. I could place the king's tank beside the rack and plug an UTH pad into that. But could a 92f pad on glass burn a snake?
